I totally lost track on how many times the design for this wallpaper changed in the last one and a half year. Damn...who might have thought that one of the most simple objects in 3D, a cube, would have been the main cause for severe design headaches. After the design was final this was a constant struggle between getting this wallpaper approved or not so at first i removed a lot of stuff i wanted to put in to even have a small chance of getting this wallpaper approved but in the end i thought "screw the approved tag this time" and went full image sequence insanity. Sadly this means this wallpaper will most likely meet the same fate as many others i did like the Hilltop Tree for example: some hundred subscribers max. It seems that the constant fight "me vs. the approved tag" is some kind of nemesis to me. :-)
But enough with the whining. Now it´s time to release this to the workshop for all you precious wallpaper fans. Say hi to "The Octocube" and it´s maintenance drones and robots, sitting deep inside the mainframe powering the systems with the help of your endless supply of tunes and causing total audio response mayhem on your desktop in return.
But be aware that this wallpaper is some kind of a monster because i overdid it in nearly every aspect possible, be it texture ram, particle count, scripts and idunnowhatelse. So if you´re using a mid- to low-end notebook with an integrated GPU chances are high that the wallpaper will crash.
Thank you all for using my wallpapers and have fun watching The Octocube melt your gfx card. ;-)
btw: there are some tunes integrated into the wallpaper which will have a nice audio response through all the frequencies the cube reacts to
